So I guess I am going for once a month postings. Sorry about that. I haven't trying new recipes lately and on top of that I have been really working hard at trying to use things up in my fridge. Sometimes I am so embarrassed to let people see my fridge because it is so packed with odds and ends and...Continue Reading

I have been sitting on this recipe for a while, trying to find the perfect occasion to make it. Once you see the ingredient list you can see why I wanted to find an occasion for this. It is not an everyday burger. I ended up making it for myself for my birthday in February. I was nervous about it but it turned out to be delicious! A very...Continue Reading
For the past couple weeks I have come across a block in my menu planning. I can't find anything that looks good or when I do try something, it is not blog worthy. Thankfully I have seen the light when I made these Portobello, Broccoli and Red Pepper Melts from Annie's East. Seriously sooo good!.. Continue Reading
This bread. Oh My Goodness, this bread. Hands down, the best bread I have ever made. I am trying to think about a way to describe this bread...how do you describe perfection in bread form? I am totally not over selling this either! Crunchy outer shell...Continue Reading
Check out these bad boys! I have recently realized that I love making bread. I love hand kneading the dough, it is so relaxing and then being able to see, not to mention eat, the final product is so rewarding. Fresh out of the oven bread is probably thing the best thing ever...Continue Reading
Oh boy was I skeptical about this recipe. Even with the bright green color, I just couldn't figure out how this soup was going to have that much flavor, and on top of that I have never used leeks before, so I had no idea what they were going to add. But this soup surprised me!... Continue Reading I'm kicking myself for eating this too quickly and not being able to get a picture first! It makes it even worse that I ate this for dinner and lunch and forgot twice. Ah well.
So I can't pronounce this soup, but who needs to do that to know that it is delicious! I don't know if you would consider this a minestrone soup (which I think is just a tomatoe-y based soup with veggies), but it is pretty similar to my minestrone soup that I have on this site. I feel it is a bit more wintery with the beans and carrots. I made this for a winter party for work...Continue Reading Lately I have been getting the urge to travel again. I was able to go on a wonderful trip to Europe this summer. Most of my traveling has been to mountainous areas, like out west and to the alps. My family is more hikers than swimmers so it has been several years that I have gone to the beach. But, man, lately I have been wanting to go to the beach! You may be wondering where the food comes in....this soup I made tonight made me feel like I was on the beach...Continue Reading
If your going to go bad, go really bad. This may not be the most waist friendly meal, but everyone should make this at least once. I have had my eye in this recipe for years now, and today was the day. It was so delicious...and easy! I had most of the ingredients on hand, other than the vodka. I don't know about you...Continue Reading
I wasn't actually expecting much from this meal. It's the end of the week and I just wanted something quick. Thankfully I made this because Yummy yummy yummy! Firecracker Chicken is delicious. I got the recipe from Mel's Kitchen Cafe and boy does she know what she's talking about. This is one if many recipes from her site that I will once again call a staple. It's Asian inspired and has a bit of a kick with the hot sauce that is included in the sauce. |
